Jeff Stephenson
Jeff Stephenson is a Principal at Sain Associates in Birmingham, Alabama. Jeff leads Sain’s traffic engineering and transportation planning efforts covering Sain’s five offices in Alabama and Tennessee. He has completed numerous transportation planning, design, and implementation projects for both public and private sector clients since joining Sain in 1998. Jeff is a registered Professional Engineer in 12 states and is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. He obtained his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama. Jeff is a member of the Gulf Region Intelligent Transportation Society (GRITS), Past President of the Alabama Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ALSITE), former ALSITE Section Representative, former Co-Chair of SDITE Member Services, recipient of several ALSITE awards including the Transportation Engineer of the Year, and recipient of SDITE’s Marble J. Hensley Outstanding Individual Activity Award. He joined the Southern District Executive Committee in 2025. Jeff is married to Jamie and has two children, Sydney and Blake.
